Text,Hrt,Replacement,Therapy,On,Light,Box.,Menopause,,Hormone,Therapy As you age, your body slows down its production of critical hormones. That can leave you with mood swings, hot flashes, and reduced libido. Hormone replacement therapy is one way to alleviate some of these uncomfortable symptoms and possibly feel more like yourself. In this article, you’ll learn more about hormone replacement therapy, why you might need it, and what to expect.

What Is Hormone Replacement Therapy?

Hormone Replacement Therapy, or HRT, is a therapeutic way to replace the hormones that drop off as you get older. Although typically associated with women, men can also find benefits in HRT.

While women often explore HRT during or after menopause, men can experience andropause in their mid-40s or even as early as 30. This refers to the decline in male hormones, such as testosterone and dehydroepiandrosterone.

Symptoms include:

  • Fatigue and low energy
  • Reduced muscle tone
  • Weight gain, especially around the belly
  • Hair loss
  • Reduced sex drive
  • Poor concentration and memory

Anyone struggling with low hormone levels and imbalances may reach out to us to discuss if HRT is a viable solution for them. If you suspect your hormones may be affecting your health, the best thing to do is have a blood test to determine your current levels.

Are There Risks With HRT?

There can be risk factors with traditional HRT. However, this medical approach has evolved over the last few decades to balance the hormones better. BioTE hormone replacement pellets, for example, contain bioidentical hormones to restore balance to the body The doctor tailors this specialized medicine to fit the individual needs of each patient.

What Are the Benefits of BioTE Hormone Replacement Pellets?

This innovative treatment can:

  • Eliminate hot flashes and vaginal dryness
  • Improve energy levels
  • Enhance productivity and memory
  • Help reduce fat
  • Increase sex drive

BioTE can also help reduce some risks of growing older, such as high cholesterol and osteoporosis.
