How Is This Different From A Home Dermaroller Treatment?
Some lower tier medspas and home roller treatments have shorter, less effective needles. You cannot get a medical-grade results-driven microneedling treatment at home. These devices and dermal rollers have needles that are much shorter than the ones used by a plastic surgeon.
Also, home dermarolling can scar your skin. Austin Microneedling must be done with a device that hits your skin surface at a 90-degree angle. This will minimize scraping, scratching, and other trauma that will typically cause scarring. Inexpensive spa devices often have poor quality needles that are slightly angled or bent and can thus hurt your skin.
How Much Downtime Is There With A Microneedling Treatment?
The downtime with Microneedling is quite short, with redness usually lasting a day or so.
Does Microneedling Hurt?
Even though just the name Microneedling sounds terrible and scary (thousands of needles going into your face!), it is actually quite painless. We have the absolute best numbing cream available, specially compounded for our unique office. It’s always our goal to keep you completely comfortable through the entire 30-45min treatment.
How Long Does It Take To See Results After Treatment?
Improved skin appearance begins to occur almost immediately and continues for 4 to 6 weeks. For best results, we recommend a series of three Microneedling treatments, as frequently as every 6 weeks. Each treatment will induce some collagen remodeling for 60 days post treatment.
