How does Juvéderm work to erase lines and wrinkles?
Juvéderm is classified as a “natural” filler because it is made primarily of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body whose job is to hydrate and plump the skin, among other duties. Hyaluronic acid can hold 1,000 times its weight in water. It lubricates joints and is in connective tissue. When injected, the hyaluronic acid in all Juvéderm fillers binds with water molecules in the area to firm the skin, add volume, and fill wrinkles.
What areas of the face can Juvéderm be used on?

How many Juvéderm sessions do I need, and how much will I need?
Juvéderm provides instant results as soon as the filler is injected. These are meant to be single session treatments.
All injectables, fillers and neuromodulators (like Botox) are priced by the unit. It’s impossible to know how much Juvéderm you will need based on a few factors: the depth of the crease or wrinkle, your metabolism, and the thickness and elasticity of your skin in the area. Once we know the areas you seek to treat, we can give you a good idea of how many units of Juvéderm you’ll need, along with the cost.
How long before I see results with Juvéderm?
All Juvéderm fillers provide instant results. As soon as they’re injected beneath a wrinkle or area of volume loss, the hyaluronic acid instantly binds with nearby water molecules and plumps the skin. Dermal fillers are not like Botox, which takes up to four days to fully relax the injected muscle and take effect.
